A wire-wrapped teardrop pendant on a delicate gold chain, available in turquoise or labradorite. The wire wrapping gives each pendant slight variations in the wrap pattern — a characteristic of the technique. Turquoise brings a vivid blue-green; labradorite shifts between grey, blue, and gold depending on the light. Ethically sourced and fair trade. For every piece sold, one tree is planted.

Gold Plated
A thin layer of gold applied over a base metal. It's an affordable way to get a gold look, though the plating can wear thin over time with frequent wear or exposure to moisture.
Gold Filled
A much thicker layer of gold (mechanically bonded, not just coated) over a base metal, usually brass. Because the gold layer is more substantial, gold filled pieces hold their color far longer than gold plated ones.
Gold Vermeil (pronounced ver-may)
Gold plating over a sterling silver base, with a thicker gold layer than standard plating. The silver base makes it more hypoallergenic than plating over other base metals, and the extra thickness helps it last.
Silver Plated
A thin layer of silver applied over a base metal, giving the look of silver at a more accessible price point. Like gold plating, it may wear over time with regular use.
Bronze
A solid metal alloy (mostly copper, with some tin) — not a plating or coating. Bronze has a warm, antique-gold tone and will naturally develop a soft patina over time.
