Swallow Paper Garland
A 5-foot paper garland of hand-cut swallow silhouettes, made from Lokta bark paper by women's cooperatives in Kathmandu. The swallows are strung on cotton cord and designed to hang across a window, mantle, or wall. Lokta paper is made from the bark of the Daphne plant, which regrows after harvesting; the paper is naturally strong and lightweight. Each garland is made by hand; slight variations in color and form are inherent to the process.

Yes. If you add a greeting card to your order, we’re happy to handwrite your personal message inside. You can also leave a brief note for us to write on our complimentary postcard included with each order.
